Campus Activities
The Ferguson Center Student Union collaboratively serves the educational mission of the University by encouraging, supporting, and celebrating personal development, involvement, citizenship, leadership, and respect for a healthy campus community. It hosts an array of campus activities ranging from art gallery showings to movie events.
Community Service
The Community Service Center at UA exists to educate students to become advocates for service, increase awareness of civic responsibility, strengthen relationships between students and their communities, and cultivate relationships with faculty to create service-learning opportunities across all disciplines for students.
Creative Campus
Creative Campus is an initiative at The University of Alabama to promote the arts. Musicals, theatre events, and other artistic mediums are spotlighted by this program.
Recreation Activities
University Recreation encourages healthy interaction through active lifestyle opportunities for students and the greater University community that strengthens learning and personal growth. University Recreation consists of the Student Recreation Center, Outdoor Pool Complex, Tennis Complex, Climbing Wall, Intramural Sports, Fitness, Outdoor Recreation, Sports Clubs, and the Aquatic Center.
Intramural Sports provides students, faculty, and staff with the opportunity to participate in a variety of competitive recreational sports in a safe environment; to promote and provide quality service and facilities; and to facilitate the wholesome and worthwhile use of social, physical, and mental skills of all participants via participation in individual and team activities in a controlled environment.
Student Leadership
The Office of Student Leadership supports the academic experience by providing programs and opportunities to enhance student leadership development, foster civic responsibility, and promote shared responsibility within a healthy community.
Student Media
The Office of Student Media provides outlets for creative work and the exchange of ideas, fosters career success, upholds First Amendment privileges, and supports the academic community through a variety of media.
Student Organizations
UA has more than 250 student organizations that range from academic and Greek to professional, recreational, religious, and more.
Get On Board Day is held each Fall and Spring semester on the Quad to showcase student organizations.
Theatre & Dance
The Department of Theatre and Dance hosts theatrical and dance productions throughout the year.
University Programs
University Programs establishes opportunities for students to participate in educational, social, cultural, and recreational programs.
