Career Center
The Career Center offers students a wide variety of career-related services. Offerings of the Career Center include career consultants, résumé critiques, graduate school planning, self-assessments, practice interviews, and information about majors and gaining experience before graduation.
Freshman Seminars
Freshman seminars are special classes presented to freshmen only. They link academics to daily life by in-depth study of issues that have an impact on our society and everything in it. Freshman seminars discuss popular topics among small groups of students and are led by some of the University’s most outstanding professors.
Freshman Learning Communities
Freshman Learning Communities are composed of two or three courses that are taken by everyone in the interest group. Most of these courses meet general educational requirements and all of them are creditable to students’ degrees. There is no extra charge for learning communities, and students are free to select residence halls of their choice.

Women’s Resource Center
The Women’s Resource Center fosters equal participation of women in the university community through programs and services that promote healthy lifestyles, personal development, leadership, and social justice activism.
